Happy New Year! Also Sacreds are full of win.

Happy New Year from Singapore! I hope your 2012 has been fruitful and that you have a wonderful exciting new year.

I haven't been blogging much due to what I feel has been a stagnant period in the game with nothing interesting I feel like talking about. However recently thanks to a certain someone I fell in love with Sacreds.

I always had an interest in the archetype able to summon amazing boss monsters, multiple copies of their version of stratos, and being an aggressive deck. Only recently though have I decided to pick them up thanks to the added power Sacred Sombres gives to the theme.

Of course I probaly should be playing Verz since its Opheon is amazing and i heard searching for Forbidden Lance is good, but I despise Opheon with a passion since it annihilates my Agents and Heroes.

Of course there is another reason in which I have picked up Sacreds is that it has a good matchup against Wind-Ups and Heroes while being less prepared for than Verz. Since there are few Sacred running around it means there will be less cards in the side deck for them which I hope will increase my chances of winning.

Now lets take a look at my version of Sacreds.

The "Sacred" Putra

I have been liking a version that runs both Decree and Safe Zone in the main deck. While it has little defense in its trap line up it makes up for that with the three copies of Veiler. The main problem with the Sacred deck is that its easy to stop the monsters with a simple Bottomless or Warning. With two Decree and 3 Safe Zone its hard to remove a Sacred Pleaides on the field using Spell or Traps.

Another reason I'm playing this way is that the format is slowly shifting into a grinding one where games can go on for much longer periods of time and there is less monster spam. This gives me time to set up and once I set up a Pleaides backed with Decree or Safe Zone its hard to lose by then.

The plays are nothing too complicated farm with Sheratan or Tenki and drop big boss monsters using Sacred Pollux and/or Sacred Gredi along with Sacred Kaust and when those bosses die summon more using Sacred Sombres.

Other than that theirs the random Fire Fist in the deck which you use to clear annoying monsters from the field when you have a useless Tenki sitting there.

11-17-2012 tournament report (I'm back)

Went down only to pass cards to friends but ended up playing in the tournament because I was too lazy to go home straight away.

Deck Used: Putra Agents

Round 1: vs Dark World

Game 1: I saw Card Destruction and Morphing Jar and still didn't die lol. He expended all his resources trying to kill me and failed so when I finally got my Hyperion I just simply beat him down over a few turns with it.

Game 2: Opponent sets 4 ends turn. I throw Heavy Storm at him. Proceed to win.

Current Record 1-0

-----------------------------------------------

Round 2 vs Skill Drain Macro Beat

Game 1: Attempted to rush him however I got stopped by his traps and died to Skill Drain, Macro, and etc.

Game 2: I opened all the backrow hate I sided (Trap Stuns and Night Beams) and no monsters. After much stalling with traps I proceeded to lose since I couldn't beat Macro and the Minuses from Sacred Omega.

Current Record 1-1

-----------------------------------------------

Round 3 vs Prophecy

Game 1: The game went back and forward for a while with neither of us getting what we needed and ended with an exchange of boss monsters. Sadly Priestess is Inferior to Master Hyperion. :D

Game 2: I open Rai-oh he has 3 Batel lol.

Current Record 2-1

------------------------------------------------

Round 4 vs Wind-Ups

Game 1: I see Hand Loops and proceed to lose ;_;

Game 2: Rai-Oh + Venus + Gachi is too strong beating through everything

Game 3: He didn't have anything and Stalled with Traps while I attempted to beat him down. He later made a Zenmaines to buy time and I used a Cyber Dragon to make a Chimeratech with it and win the game. We later learned that you can't contact fusion with a Dimensional Fissure on the field. Whoops.

Current Record 3-1

------------------------------------------------

Round 5 vs Mermail (Sazabi)

Game 1: Losing terribly and stalling with Gachi and Zenmaines to buy time. I topdeck a Hyperion and a Kristya the following turn which I summon by tributing the Gachi and Zenmaines and proceed to win by smashing with both of them.

Game 2: Where I mill a lot of shit with Card Trooper, Reborn Kristya, and go for game.

Current Record 4-1

-----------------------------------------------

Round 6 vs Rong Jie (I don't know what you played)

Game 1: He rolled a 7 with his two dice and I rolled a 4. I promptly surrendered to his superior dice rolling skills.

Current Record 4-2

Final Result 2nd place

Tournament ends at 10pm dice rolls for top 4 lol.

Oh well at least I got a Geargiganto X out of it.

Things are looking up in my life :D

Life, Card Games, and the Future

When I first started this blog a few months ago it was for the simple reason that I was bored one night and thought it was a good way to help me pass the time. Through my experience playing this card game I have made many friends which have helped me move through tough times even if they don't know about it.

By just being there and hanging out with me joking around and having fun they have kept me playing this game and keep moving forward in life and I would like to thank you all sincerely.

To Keith and Sherwyn who in their eagerness to win the Asia Plus kept me motivated even when shit happened to me during Asia Plus.

To Team Insane Tech who have talked and joked with me and helped me maintain confidence at some of my lowest points.

To Johann who has made me laugh when we troll on Dnet at night.

To Terence who got me back into this game and let me meet all these wonderful people.

To Rei who gave me lots of advice about this game and helped me start getting the cards I needed for this game slowly.

To Vishal who I have spent much time talking too this past year and had fun playing yugioh with and just hanging out together sometimes.

To David who helped me improve my game and a great friend to me for so long.

To all the people I've met at Yew Tee these past few months and helping me enjoy myself after a bad day.

To Stark, Elton, and Yew Loong who have been wonderful friends ever since the day I've met them.

To Team Aequus who have made me truly laugh even in bad times.

To Dueling Days and friends who I have learned so much about this game from and who have never failed to put a smile on my face with their antics.

To Bixuan who I learned so much playing agents from.

To Kenneth Tan and Aim, while I don't talk to you that often it was always fun having a conversation with you.

To any other people I have forgetten to mention thank you for everything.

Today I got some of the worse news of my life. I don't know if I want to play this game anymore after hearing it. If so to all of you who have helped me out these past few months, who have laughed with me and gave me so many wonderful moments these past few years I give my sincerest thanks.

Thank you so much for everything.

Without you all I'm not sure if I would even be here today.

So thank you so much.

P.S. To Shaun of Team Aequus I hope everything goes well with you.

top shop tourney report 11/11/2012

I didn't bring my extra deck today like a genius :D

So I borrowed some good stuff from friends

Deck Played: Putra Agents (With half of an extra) aka: Stall until you can YOLO Agents

Round 1: vs Hero Beat

Game 1: Both of us slowly used up resources and I was going to win the game but I realized I didn't have an Armory Arm and lost to him because I couldn't kill his Shining lol.

Game 2: I opened Venus + Gachi and sat on it using my backrow to slowly smash through whatever he summoned and won the game from there.

Game 3: I just smashed through him with a flurry of boss monsters and he died a terrible death :D

Round 2: vs Maldoche (Team Insane Tech's Weemin)

Game 1: I gained some advantage from a Torrential and slowly won from there forcing my way through his backrow.

Game 2:I summoned one Rai-Oh. He couldn't kill it. I won the game :D

Round 3: vs Offering Machina Gadget (Wen Liang)

Game 1: he had a Gearframe but no gadgets and I had Hyperion + Kristya but no agents so we sat on backrow and some weak monsters for a while. I got my agent first though and smashed him with Hyperion :D

Game 2: I gained some advantage by controlling with Rai-Oh but he destroyed and then reborned it to use against me. I set a Sangan and a Dimensional Prison which the Rai-Oh ran into later. Eventually the Sangan died and I used it to search Card Trooper which milled just the right amount of agents I needed and I proceeded to drop Hyperion + Kristya on his face to end the game.

Round 4: vs Keith Mail (of Team Putra)

Game 1: Forget what happened in this game but I remember losing to Moulin Glace ;_;

Game 2: I had a Venus + Gachi on the field which he didn't clear. As he set one card only I assumed it was AbyssSphere and payed 500 to summon another Shine Ball which I tributed along with Venus for Kristya and attacked. My Kristya was promptly banished by a prison ;_; I however managed to stall long enough with the Gachi that I was able to kill him later with Hyperion and Catastor.

Game 3: I was in a really really bad spot, however I had a Gantetsu on the field that was protecting me from defeat. He let me gain advantage from Maxx C though and on my turn I drew a Kristya with exactly 4 fairies in my grave (LOL) and just beat him down with Venus and Kristya from there.

Some conspiracy happened

and Keith got the top shop spot :D

along with Sherwyn as well :D

and I got my spot from a store at Ang Mo Kio as well :D

So all in all a successful day for me and my agents.

P.S. I later learned that my deck only had one Card Trooper in it, forgot to put the other one in lol.

asia plus scrubbing and decklists

Seeded into top 8 died in top 8 oh well. Congrats to William, Bixuan, and Johann of team koi for winning and thanks for treating us to drinks from Koi later lol.

So heres my decklist in order main side and extra. I'm missing a Card Trooper and Trap Stun because one ended up in a friends deck in a casual duel (lol) and the trap stun I had to return.

I died terribly to bad hands in top 8 but what can you do its yugioh, I tried my best and I got top 8 which is better than many people can say. There's always next year anyway. Most of the card choices in this deck are quite standard I feel for an agent deck. The two Tragoedia replace the Duality and the Night Beam and Raigeki Break replace the Cyclone and Torrential. The deck basically just plays the protect the Rai-Oh game and just spams boss monsters or simply beatdown with Venus and stuff to win. The Gellenduo is there as a replacement for Book of Moon and to use as tribute fodder for hands full of boss monsters.

As for the side the only curious choice should be the Leeching the Light. I put it in mainly because I was looking for a good power card against Hero Beat and Mirror and this was my preferred option. This is mainly because I can otk a Hero deck if they have only one Neos Alius on the field with Leeching the Light and Venus in hand.

Summon Venus
Summon three Shine Balls
Activate Leeching the Light target Neos Alius
(1600 + 1900) + 3(500 +1900) - 1900 = 8800 damage.
Yeah no joke.

Whether your East or West its all the same

With YCS Rhode Island happening around the same time as the Asia Plus Championships I'd like to wish all duelists luck who are attending the events.

Personally I'm quite nervous for the Asia Plus Championships and am eating massive amounts of cake as a result of it.However I do hope that I can at least support my team in our top 8 match and hopefully win the entire thing with them.

As for you people in Rhode Island at this moment I'm looking forward to see if Wind-Ups can show that they can win a YCS or perhaps another deck can clinch the title and prove once and for all that Wind-Ups although they may be tier 1 are perhaps not head and shoulders above the other top tier decks (even though I believe they pretty much are at this point).

Personally I'm hoping for either Trooper Agents to win the event and show that my beloved Agents can stand a chance against Wind-Ups (even though I know they most likely do I just want some confirmed proof) or a heavy stun based deck like Heroes do well because anti-meta is cool (=.=)b

Well wherever you are Singapore or the United States it's time to GET YOUR GAME ON!!!

I've always wanted to type that out.

Beating Wind-Ups Part 1

So with all the Wind-Up insanity appearing all over Singapore this post I hope will be a helpful guide to helping stop Wind-Ups if you aren't already part of the crowd. If you already are well I hope this gives you some idea how to play the mirror match effectively.

The Key Player

If you didn't know by now the key to the Wind-Up deck is Wind-Up Shark

WindUpShark-ORCS-EN-SR-1E.jpg

This one card which frankly shouldn't even be a Wind-Up because it can use its effect once per turn instead of once on the field lets the Wind-Up deck do the magic it does and summon 3-4 XYZs in a certain turn.

However there are few ways to stop this cards effect from going off and activating Magician's effect and letting them spam the field.

While there are few methods to stop this there are 2 ways to stop this card which I like to use.

The first is a card that is most commonly seen in Dark World

MindCrush-LCYW-EN-UR-1E.png

A card I put in my side deck frequently to fight against Laval, Machina Gadget, Mermail, and Wind-Up Mind Crush can stop Wind-Up Shark because the opponent is forced to reveal it before they summon it. Plus it is also useful for making the opponent discard the Wind-Ups they have searched with that annoying factory.

Second is a card I've been considering putting in my side deck but I don't have any Japanese copies of sadly is

DebunkEXVC-EN-SR-1E.png

An excellent card against not only Wind-Ups but Mermail and Dark World as well Debunk is a card that removes the Shark from the game permanently and won't let an annoying Rat later in the game revive the Shark later in the future.

While there are many other options to deal with Wind-Ups these are two that I have liked using recently just because of there all around use against many decks.

Thanks for reading I'll post Part 2 next week.

Asia Plus Qualifier 14/10/2012

So I went down for the last qualifier with my team yesterday with for once a decent amount of bedrest and a nice steak at pepper lunch. Our whole team got to the location ahead of time so we spent a hour or two testing between ourselves and warming up for the tournament.

I got my playset of wind-up shark and rabbit before the tournament started in preparation for my wind-up deck which I'll be playing soon (along with half of Singapore) and our team only got one H-C Gandiva from our packs sadly. <_<

After watching a hilarious fun game between Junk Doppel and Photon Beat the tournament soon started and it was announced that since 12 teams entered 8 of them would play against each other to determine a top 8 bracket.

Unfortunately we were picked for the round of 12.

I was playing Trooper Agents
Sherwyn was playing Hero Beat
Keith was playing Dark World

Round 1: vs Skill Drain Beast Beat

Game 1: I started first with a Venus and Gantetsu play to stall my opponent and ended my turn since I had no traps or spells to set. He summoned a Photon Trasher to beat through my Venus but I countered him with an Honest. After a few turns of nothing happening but me beating him with Venus I used a Earth in my hand along with the Venus to make Black Rose Dragon and clear the field leaving only my Gantetsu remaining, then proceeded to summon Hyperion and attack with him for two turns to end the game.

Game 2: He summoned an Gladiator Beast Andal, set 5 cards, and ended his turn. I summoned a Cyber Dragon and earth and was about to attack to force out some backrow but I had a sudden thought that Horn of the Phantom Beast was back there and just decided to Soul Taker the Andal, set a card, and end my turn. He simply passed his turn back to me and then I activated my Trap Stun and made a Black Rose Dragon to clear his entire field then summoned Hyperion and attacked him for 4 turns for game.

Personal Record: O O
Team Record:O - O (Sherwyns match was unfinished since Keith and I had already won)

Round 2: vs Hero Beat

Game 1: I didn't draw anything useful against him and only had a Tragoedia to stall for a bit with a hand stuck of Shine Balls (:V) and Orange Light and simply died to the attacks of his Heroes in a few turns.

Game 2: We both started slowly with both of us setting monsters myself a snowman eater and over the next few turns just set spell and traps and ended. He eventually summoned a stratos and attacked into my snowman eater which destroyed it. On my turn I summoned a Earth and was going to make Catastor but he Super Polyed the Snowman Eater and his set monster a Bubbleman (which I thought was a Snowman Eater or something of the sort into an Absolute Zero. I passed my turn and on his turn he made a Shining and attacked with both of them. I let the Zero kill my Earth and Prisoned the Shining. At this point I only had 1 set card a trap stun and my opponent had 4 of them on my turn I used Soul Taker on his Zero then activated the Trap Stun and used Heavy Storm on his 4 set cards. He couldn't recover from the disadvantage and lost to my Hyperion.

Game 3: I opened without any agents but with Heavy Storm, Gellenduo, and Hyperion so I had an obvious play to do and just set the Gellenduo and ended my turn. He summoned a monster attacked into my Gellenduo and set two cards and ended his turn. I used Heavy Storm to destroy his set cards and tribute summoned Hyperion to apply pressure. He attempted to make a comeback by using Super Poly on my Hyperion but I used Call of the Haunted to revive it, summoned a Card Trooper to mill a fairy so Hyperion to destroy his other set card and then activated Leeching the Light attacking with all my monsters for the game.

Personal Record: X O O
Team Record: OOX (Sherwyn topdecking Miracle Fusion like a boss)

Round 3: vs Dark World

Game 1: I started first and opened with Venus into Gantetsu and ended my turn. He set a monster and a backrow and passed it over to me. I summoned a Rai-oh and attacked his set monster with Venus which ended up being a Sangan! My Rai-oh and Venus then kept attacking him for the win since he couldn't get anything started without a Dark World monster to use.

Game 2: He started strong with a Grapha and multiple set cards. When I attempted to try something I got hit with a Deck Devestation Virus and just simply lost since I couldn't stop Grapha (Fuck you Grapha :V).

Game 3: I opened with 2 Shine Balls, Kristya, a Call of the Haunted, Raigeki Break, and a Soul Drain and set a Shine Ball (attempting to make second turn Gantetsu by some miracle) set all three traps and ended my turn. On his turn he started with Dark World Dealings which I chained Soul Drain too discarding Kristya for Dealings and Drawing Rai-oh off it. Then when he normal summoned a Snoww I used my Call of the Haunted to revive Kristya and prevent him from Summoning Grapha. He couldn't stop my Monsters and I just Eventually beat him down with Rai-oh and Kristya backed by the Soul Drain for game.

Personal Record: O X O
Team Record: O X O (Sherwyn's Dark Hero ran into a top decked Kinetic Soldier lol.)

Round 4: vs Mermail Team Insane Tech Pohseng

Game 1: We both played a grindy game where we kept trading cards with one another when I summoned Hyperion to attack him with though. He made a Big Eye to steal it (lol) which I was able to stop with some Raigeki Break shenanigans. A topdecked Solemn Warning was able to win me the game as it prevented him from summoning his Deep Sea Diva and let me attack with Hyperion for the game.

Game 2: Maxx C let me gain advantage off his Abyssphere and let me draw into my second Maxx C which I used to get more advantage off him. While I didn't draw Hyperion I did make a Catastor and he couldn't stop it so it beat him for a few turns along with another Magical Android I made later (since I felt I was low on life) and just kept attacking with both of them for game.

Personal Record: O O
Team Record: O O O (Lamby of Team Insane Tech was playing Chaos Dragons and opened a Royal Decree against Sherwyn which promptly ate a side decked Twister from him lol.)

So Team Putra wins their Qualifier dafuq :V and I ended up going 4-0 which I really can't believe I did myself.

Good job to my team for how well they performed as well.

Thanks to Noobie for helping our team out here and there prepare for these qualifiers

Asia Plus Qualifier Report 6 October 2012

Entered my first Asia Plus qualifier not feeling that well because I ate too much for lunch. The store that was hosting the tournament is moving to a new location and since it is bigger hosted the tournament there.

As for some general background knowledge on the Asia Plus tournament for those of you who don't know it is a tournament where teams of 3 compete against one another to determine the best team in southeast asia. The main stipulation of these tournaments is that all three players must share one banlist. For example, since Monster Reborn is a limited card the entire team may only use one copy of it, each team may only play two copies of Solemn Warning since it is semi-limited, and each team may only use three copies of Mystical Space Typhoon since it is unlimited. Another restriction is that duel terminal cards from DT03 onwards are not allowed unless they were already reprinted in another set.

My team made up of Sherwyn, Keith, and I entered the tournament as Team Putra.

Leader: Me
Player A: Sherwyn
Player B: Keith

I myself used Trooper Agents while my teammates Sherwyn and Keith used Hero Beat and Dark World  respectively.

There were 11 teams and it was a single elimination format so 6 teams had to fight it out first to determine a top 8. Unfortunately we were one of the 6 chosen.

Round 1: vs Lightsworn

Game 1: I drew a lot of backrow hate which was quite useless against him since he never set any traps and proceeded to lose to generic beatdown from his monsters.

Game 2:  I sided out most of my trap hate for generic monster removal such as soul taker and put in Maxx C which is normally quite useless but I never fully prepared for Lightsworn. I opened 2 Rai-Oh, 1 Earth, and 2 Shine Ball and thought I was doomed however I managed to control with Rai-oh for a while and pressure my opponent. For the finisher I used Soul Taker on his monster and then killed him with a field of Rai-oh and Venus.

Game 3: I controlled the game with an opening Venus into Gantetsu play and lost the Venus to a Photon Thrasher the following turn. I attacked with a Rai-Oh to kill the Thrasher on my turn and just ended. On his turn he unexpectedly summoned a Kycoo and used Creature Swap then ended his turn. With no available way to get past the stolen Gantetsu for now I simply waited until I got a Reborn which I used to make Catastor with a second Venus in my hand and kill the Gantetsu. I simply steamrolled him after that as he couldn't stop the Rai-Oh and Catastor with a hand full of Lumina.

Team Result: OO-

Top 8: vs Dark World

Game 1: He activated Dark World Dealings and I discarded Kristya while he discarded a Grapha. He then summoned a Grapha and ended his turn. I set two cards and ended my turn. He tried to Dark World Lightning one of my set cards and I chained the card he targeted, a call of the haunted, to revive the Kristya I discarded. He couldn't recover from that and died to Rai-Oh and Kristya beat.

Game 2: I sided in a lot of hate against Dark World but I none of it was useful since he started first and summoned a Grapha which I could not get rid of. I eventually ended up losing to beatdown from Grapha and Beiige.

Game 3: I set two cards and ended my turn. When he activated Dark World Dealings I chained Soul Drain to it negating the effect of the Dark World he discarded while I discarded a Kristya which I revived with Call of the Haunted at the end of his turn. He couldn't get rid of the Soul Drain and just died to my Kristya.

Team Result: OOX

Top 4: vs Agents

Game 1: Venus and Gantetsu to start protection followed by a heavy backrow for protection. He set up a backrow of his own but I was able to slowly push my way through it and then finish him with a Hyperion for the win.

Game 2: He set a monster and a backrow and ended his turn. I attacked into his set monster with a Card Trooper and it ended up being a Gellenduo. Which he tributed for a Kristya the following turn. I was able to deal with the Kristya eventually with a Soul Taker but by then it was too late and he finished me with Earth and Venus.

Game 3: I attempted doing the same Gellenduo stunt to him lol. However when I summoned my Kristya I ate a torrential. He had exactly three fairies in his grave after that and on his next turn he milled one fairy with Card Troopers effect and summoned a Kristya which killed me two turns later.

Team Result: XOX

So sadly we scrubbed in the top 4. Oh well it was a good run anyway at least. At least we pulled a Gagaga Gunman and a 3d foil from the packs we got for our entry fee.

I also got some Ultra Soul Takers from Sazabi too. (Thanks a lot if you read this)

Even though I didn't win I'm quite happy with my decks performance against the big three in this years Asia Plus (Hero, Mermail, and Dark World) and what I lost to was an Agent Mirror which shows that I need to be more prepared for the mirror match. Another thing that needs work is my hero matchup as I feel that it is my worst out of the big three.

Oh well more testing is required I suppose and hopefully my team can win next weeks qualifier.

Thanks for reading!

Flaming Dance Tenki

FlamingDanceTenki-CBLZ-JP-OP.jpg

When this card is activated: You can add 1 level 4 or lower beast-warrior type monster from your deck to your hand. While this card is face-up on the field, all Beast-Warrior-Type monsters you control gain 100 ATK. You can only activate 1 "Flaming Dance - "Tenki"" per turn.

So while its obvious this card should be used along with the flaming star archetype the text says that you can add 1 level 4 or lower beast-warrior type monster to your hand. What does this mean?

WindUpRabbit-CT09-EN-SR-LE.png

Well if you weren't sick of seeing wind-up rabbit already in wind-ups now you might be seeing it somewhere else too.

I suck at making deck ideas....

So back to the Athena thing yesterday I recently remembered some combo which used 3 Athena and 1 Darklord Superbia to deal massive amounts of burn damage (7200 to be exact) which should kill anyone who has even used Venus's effect to make a Gantetsu. Plus you haven't attacked yet when this combo finishes and will have a full field of monsters to go for game.

Here are the steps:

Requirements: 1 Darklord Superbia, 3 Athena, and any other fairy in the graveyard also some form of revival method for Superbia.

Opponent is at 8000 life

1) Summon Superbia from the grave
2) Superbias effect summons Athena 1 from the grave
3) Athena 1 effect tribute Superbia and then summon the same Superbia.
4) Superbias effect summons Athena 2. (Athena 1 burns the opponent 1200 because you summoned Superbia and Athena 2. Opponents life is at 6800)
5) Athena 2 effect tribute Superbia summon Superbia again.
6) Superbia summons Athena 3. (Opponent loses 1200 first from the summoning of Superbia and then another 1200 from the summoning of Athena 3 via the effects of Athena 1 and 2. Opponents life is at 4400)
7) Athena 3 effect tribute Superbia summon Superbia for the final time.
8) Superbia summons any fairy from the grave (Opponent now loses 1800 life points from the summoning of Superbia and another 1800 from the special summoning of the other fairy via the effects of all 3 Athenas. Opponents life is now at 800.)

End result 1 Superbia, 3 Athena, and 1 other fairy on your field with your opponent at 800 lifepoints.

Of course there are many other combos you could pull off with Superbia this is just my favorite one however my current problem is summoning the Superbia and getting all the cards in my grave for it easily.

Any ideas?

The answers most likely obvious but I suck at this stuff :V

Just fell in love with a card

I remembered a strange idea recently, though I forget where I got it from and how the combo works if  I can figure it out I might play the deck at a lolcals if I can get all the cards for it. It involves a lot of shenanigans and this card one of my new favorites.

Yes Athena I am not joking this card is bullshit lol.

Dueling Network

Here I am trying to get some practice for asia and all I get are decks that are not in our meta, people who don't know their rulings, and hands with all the useless mermails in the world. :V

Dueling Network why does your RNG hate me so ;_;

Prophecy aka the deck with a crap ton of search power.

Prophecy

"Spellbook of Life"

Prophecy is a Spellcaster archetype which emphasizes on its spell cards known as spellbooks and wins with the control and advantage created by them. I'm sure by now most of you know the basic cards of the archetype as they seem to be popular from what I have faced on Dueling Network but this post is a look into some of the more cool tricks I believe the deck can do.

Hanged Man of Prophecy

HangedManofProphecy-ABYR-JP-C.jpg

When this card is sent to the graveyard add one level 3 Prophecy monster to your hand.

A card that has been released in Abyss Rising, Hanged Man of Prophecy gives the archetype some good search power for one of its key monsters Temperance of Prophecy. Note the card says sent to the graveyard only it never says from field to grave so this means you could play some mill based oriented build to send prophecy monsters to your grave and doing shenanigans with them. What I prefer though is comboing this card with Wonder Wand and getting a +1 off the effect of Hanged Man of Prophecy.

Another one of my favorite tricks is using Strength of Prophecy to keep recycling my Prophecy cards and slowly gain attack to apply pressure to my opponent. While this may seem basic this can be further taken advantage of using Summoner Monk which can allow you to discard those currently useless Spellbooks to summon a monster from your deck the only real choice being Strength for now and using Strength to recycle the Spellbook than making an exceed to apply pressure with.

My current main problem with the deck though is that it lacks good monsters to apply pressure with aside from Strength of Prophecy and the High Priestess of Prophecy which is extremely troublesome to summon unless you use Temperance of Prophecy. However I feel like agents this problem can be solved with a mill and revival engine. Running cards such as Lyla and Card Trooper the deck could mill cards and summon them back with Call of the Haunted and Spellbook of Life.

In conclusion for now Spellbooks have the ability to search extremely well but are not part of the meta as of now due to their lack of power. The deck doesn't have the first turn Laggia, Archlord Kristya, or Magician + Shark jank that allows it to instantly win the game or make the game an impossible scenario for your opponent to recover from. However I believe with more power some of the tricks I have listed above could prove to be useful in the Prophecy deck in the future.

Overseas Trip

So yeah I went overseas to see relatives and stuff and settle life stuff. Not much time to play card games last week or this week but I'll see what I can do. I got to play some yugioh in California though with an old friend of mine I was visiting and got to test against TCG and soon to be OCG windups.

My friend wasn't using hunter because he wanted to test out whether removing hunter and adding cards such as duality and such while making it impossible for you to do the hand loop gives you much more consistency. He was maining maxx c over veiler too seeing as he was more worried about mirror and agents lol.

I dont remember much about the games but we went quite even against each other my agents vs his windups with most of the wins I got were just me dropping kristya (lol), he tended to perform lockdown setups using shock master to get easy wins. More often than not when one player got a small advantage in our matches it tended to spiral out of control with no way to recover.

Aside from windup vs agent mirrors I got some cards I was looking for to foil up my agent deck but was disappointed in the fact that I couldn't find the hobby league cyclones and ultra rare mind control I wanted to find.

Thanks for reading!

Sorry for the lack of editing I'm too tired right now to capitalize properly and such :V

I fucking hate shock master....

Mini Tourney Report 30-8-2012

So I went to Ah Kits Store today to play in the mini tourney since my exams are now over and I'm free for a month or so.

Playing pure agents again because well fuck T.G. :V

Deck Played: Putra Agents

September 1st Banlist

3 Swiss rounds followed by top 4 cut off.

Round 1: vs dark world (I forgot how to spell your name sorry)

Game 1: He had Skill Drain on the field ready to stop the effects of my monsters and was ahead in lifepoints for quite a while but a MST stopped the Skill Drain and forced him to activate Solemn thus shrinking the lifepoint gap and allowing me to make a comeback using Master Hyperion and Honest.

Game 2: He summoned a Goldd on his first turn, set a few, and ended his turn. I opened with Venus into Gachi plays and set a few cards before passing my turn. He attacked my Venus with his Goldd and ran into Dimensional Prison. Later he managed to summon a Grapha and attacked only to eat another Dimensional Prison. After losing the Grapha he couldn't do much else and died to Hyperion.

Current Record: 1-0

Round 2: vs Final Countdown with insane side deck (Mango)

Game 1: Saw Final Countdown and tried to play against it however ended up losing in the long run despite me summoning Kristya due to the fact that he had just enough resources to stall me. After the game he revealed his hand to show me 3 Battle Fader he couldn't use since I had Kristya on the field most of the game lol.

Game 2: I opened Venus into Gachi Plays and set 3 cards and ended my turn thinking I would fight Final Countdown Again. Suddenly I saw a Heavy Storm and Inzektors. After laughing like hell at what I knew would soon be my loss due to the epic mindfuck I tried struggling for a bit only to in the end lose to his Inzektors since I couldn't stop them after the turn 1 Heavy Storm.

Current Record: 1-1

Round 3 vs Chaos Dragon (Cheng Wee? I think thats how its spelled)

Game 1: I summoned a Kristya and slowly attacked with it and he couldn't do anything about it. I had a scary moment where he summoned Gale and halved Kristyas attack but I managed to stop his Eclipse Wyvern next turn with a Solemn Warning. He still got to banish with Wyvern's effect though lol.

Game 2: He couldn't get much going this game and but he had a Decree ready for my traps. I dropped Hyperion to destroy the Decree but he then used Heavy Storm on me lol. Despite that though Hyperion proved to be too strong and crushed him eventually.

Current Record: 2-1

Top 4: vs Wind-ups (LOL use Wind-ups in mini tourney Bahamut84)

Game 1: I played slowly with Venus and Gachi plays as usual and carefully manipulated my graveyard using Vermillion Declarer and Hyperion to let me summon Kristya which he had no out too lol.

Game 2: He looped two cards from my hand and ended on a field of Zenmaines and Daigusto Emeral. I tried stalling with set cards but I eventually died to the advantage he attained from the amount of cards he farmed using Emeral.

Game 3: I opened with Venus into Gachi plays and ended my turn. He went for Tour Guide and I used Vermillion Declarer to stop his Zenmighty's effect. Since he just ended his turn with an empty field I decided to tribute both Venus and Gachi for Kristya and pressure him. He ended up clearing my Kristya the following turn and summoned a Wind-up Rabbit and set a card. I summoned Hyperion to bait out his set card since I would have 4 Fairies in my Grave if he had a bottomless for my Hyperion but the set card ended up being Solemn Judgment. So I just used a previously set Call of the Haunted to revive Hyperion and drop Kristya on him for game.

Top 2: vs Final Countdown with insane side deck (Mango)

... I don't even want to talk about this match  ;_;

Result: 2nd place and got a Gold Rare BLS

Thoughts after tournament: Kristya is bullshit, Vermillion Declarer is the best, I hate Final Countdown, and whoops forgot to side in Decree and Snowman Eater today lol.

After the tournament I played some casual games the best moments of the day was using Mind Crush on all three of my friend Sherwyn's Rekindling (lol) and topdecking Kristya with exactly 4 Fairies in my grave to summon against him (Kristya SwagSwagSwag).

New SD coming soon!!!

Once upon a time in the world of duel monsters Mermails swam in the sea, Agents reigned in the skies, and Dark World rested in hell. The Heroes were recuperating from some of their losses and X Sabers reappeared to defend the land again after seemingly being exterminated by the Inzektors. The Samurais rested in the far east in their shiny castles and celebrated the end of the Inzektor swarm. As for the rabbits ... they were mourning the loss of their third brother somewhere. In the world of duel monsters peace is an impossibility, with such a wide variety of diverse races how could it be after all? However for now there was a balance and no one race could triumph and reign over all.

Then everything changed when the fire nation attacked.

Agents Sept 2012

So yeah a new format where agents will be somewhat playable yay!

We lost 1 Tour Guide though ;_; despite that Hyperion is still an incredible force to be reckoned with. Kristya is still amazing and well there's always good old Black Luster Soldier right.

Monsters: 23

3 Mystic Shining Balls that you always draw multiples of щ(ಠ益ಠщ)
3 The Agent of Creation Venus
2 Tour Guide from the Underworld
2 The Agent of Mystery Earth
2 Master Hyperion (He's Back)
2 Archlord Kristya (I hate this card)
2 Herald of Orange Light
1 Sangan
1 Night Assailant
1 Chaos Sorcerer
1 Black Luster Soldier Envoy of the Beginning
1 Tragoedia
1 Gorz the Emissary of Darkness
1 Honest

Spells: 9

2 Cyclone
2 Pot of Duality
1 Monster Reborn
1 Book of Moon
1 Dark Hole
1 Heavy Storm
1 Mind Control (Why is this card still in the game <_<)

Traps: 9

2 Torrential Tribute
2 Dimensional Prison
2 Compulsory Evacuation Device
2 Solemn Warning
1 Solemn Judgment

Nothing too interesting about the deck but I have my own personal preferences for it such as Herald of Orange Light instead of Effect Veiler. The reasoning behind this is that I simply want to dump fairies in my graveyard for Kristya or get rid of the useless Kristyas in hand.
I like Night Assailant as its a 1 card out to those annoying Verz Opheons, in the worse case scenario I keep a copy of Black Mist in my extra deck to stop Opheon. I'm not running Bottomless in my trap line up because I really don't like Bottomless that much due to the fact that I always seem to draw it one card too late. I feel that if I really do need to get rid of anything Dimensional Prison should suffice. I'm not sure if agents are the right thing to play for me next format though they seem quite good. I'm looking also at Six Samurai as well because they have lots of versatility in my opinion.

Thanks for Reading!!

Sorry I haven't been updating much

Sorry I haven't been updating much its exam time for me.

I'm still unsure of what to play this new format everything seems quite fun.

I've been wanting to play Samurais for quite a while but my old Agent deck seems playable once again too. Theres also the interesting new Water deck and I've also had some ideas about some Beast Stun Deck and Maldoche. Either way this format looks like its going to be an interesting one.

I'll update more once my exams are done and I have an idea of what I'm going to do.

Cards that will be popular in the next format. (Opinion)

Lets assume that the list posted on dueling days is 100% accurate.

http://duelingdays.blogspot.sg/2012/08/banlist-post-unconfirmed.html

(Here is the banlist posted on dueling days)

What cards will be more popular next format?

Also what decks will be viable as well.

Lets start off with a card that will in my opinion become extremely popular at the beginning of next format.

Thats right good old TKRO with this banlist I expect this card to become extremely popular in the main deck. Why is that though? Well the reasoning behind this is why this card became unpopular in the main deck in the previous format, inzektors. TKRO does nothing to inzektors. While It can stop the summon of the exceed monster TKRO will most likely die before the exceed monster is summoned so in an inzektor infested format TKRO is nothing more than dead weight.

However with this new banlist and all the hate it has on inzektors TKRO is now much more powerful. The deck hits machina variants, maldoche, gladiator beasts, agents, hieratics, x sabers, mermail, atlanteans, heroes, wind up, infernity, and many rogue decks.

What else also becomes popular with the destruction of inzektors?

Well a card that used to punish over aggression but was pointless against inzektors is now semi-limited will be seen everywhere. This will slow down the format drastically in my opinion whether it slows it down too much though awaits too be seen.

Thats right I'm talking about good old Mirror Force. Lets also however not forget another card that was quite useless against inzektors but gains much power in this format.

Dimensional Prison! This card will be useful for removing those annoying floaters in the next format such as Card Trooper(if we see it), Sangan, and Maestroke.

Of course there should be many other cards that will grow in power that I have not mentioned above such as Bottomless Trap Hole, Mystic Tomato, and Neo-Spacian Grand Mole. What other cards do you think will gain popularity in next format?

As for decks that will also gain popularity lets take a look at the banlist to gain a better understanding of the September 1st meta. If you noticed many otk decks such as Chaos Dragon and Hieratics have been hit. Also Wind ups have lost their loop and much of their otk power (I think). Inzektors have been virtually erased from the game and Rabbit has gotten a slight nerf. So what does this mean? Well without the presence of Inzektors and dragon decks it means that the format has slowed down significantly. While otks still remain in the meta, such as the arrive hero otk for example, they are significantly nerfed compared to the March 1st format.

Thus many old school decks become extremely viable.

Here is a list of what I think will be stronger in this new format.

1) Gladiator Beasts
2) X Sabers
3) Six Samurais
4) Gravekeepers
5) Maldoche
6) Prophecy
7) Agents

So why do I think that these decks will become stronger?

Gladiator Beasts: With less backrow destruction from Inzektors and a slower meta Gladiator Beasts (GBs) are extremely powerful with the incredible power of War Chariot GBs have the ability to stop Mermail, X Sabers, Prophecy, and Maldoche from searching, Laval from sending cards to grave, Gravekeeper Spy from activating, and Six Samurai from negating. Heavy backrow, Destruction from Gyzarus, Negation from Heraklinos, and 3 Rotas make this deck a forced to be reckoned with.

X Sabers: One of the few decks with the ability to destroy massive amounts of backrow in one turn without spells X Sabers were not favored last format due to the speed of Inzektors. However without Inzektors X Sabers have more time to set up massive plays. With Hand Dropping abilities similar to Wind Ups, Hyunlei breaking through backrows, and lulzy loops X Sabers might now have their chance to shine in the OCG meta.

Six Samurais: One of the strongest decks in past formats they lost popularity last format due to their inability to deal with massive beatsticks and effect monsters easily, which was all of last format. However now in a format which will have heavy backrow presence in my opinion Shien becomes a major threat once again. Plus we all know how much pain Gateway and United along with two Six Samurai first turn is.

Gravekeepers: A solid deck even in the previous meta the only reason they weren't effective was because they just couldn't keep up in the meta. Now they have more power than ever with two Torrential and Mirror Force. Royal Tribute is still an amazing card and lets not forget the power that Necrovalley has as well.

Maldoche: A recently released archetype Maldoche are the new gadgets. Searching power and the ability to endlessly recycle makes them a powerhouse. While they may not have the big boss monsters that other decks have their ability to grind you down and gain advantage is unmatched. Expect them to be powering their way through many of the anti meta decks next format.

Prophecy: I myself am a bit unsure about how strong the archetype really is however they can farm and search extremely well, what are they trying to search for though? What cannot be denied is their ability to last through long games easily and simply outlast the opponent. If more support for this deck is released in the future who knows how far could it go? as for now though recycling Rotas is always never a bad thing.

Agents: Ah agents one of my all time favorite decks 3 Dark Armed Dragon imitators isn't a joke you know along with Kristya the deck is a powerhouse. We all should know what this deck does but why is it stronger? Well for starters Earth to two gives the deck a major boost. Secondly the OCG gets Tour Guide to play along with our imba exceeds. We also get some new support too in the form of Card Car D to speed up our deck compared to last time. Expect a Master Hyperion to be summoned in your face in the near future duelists.

So what will you play next banlist?

Will it be one of the decks I listed above? Or perhaps another deck from previous formats such as heroes.

Perhaps some of you will stick by Inzektors and Dragons too (lol).

Cosmo Blazar (aka Konami's either trolling or seriously going to print it)

So the name of the new pack is called Cosmo Blazar.

If any of you don't know in Yugioh 5Ds there is a card referenced in episode 149 called Cosmic Blazar Dragon. No image of it is ever given and no further information has been provided of it by Konami so many people assumed that it was one of those anime-only cards that would never be printed.

http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Yu-Gi-Oh!_5D%27s_-_Episode_149 here is where you'll find the card being shown in the anime just read the english translation section.

So if you decided to read the link above you should know this but if you didn't you wouldn't know that Cosmic Blazar Dragon is Yusei's signature card in a alternate timeline. In this timeline Yusei never had to deal with time travellers and apparently Meklords were killing everyone (yeah I know right wtf). The reason Yusei has Shooting Quasar Dragon in the anime is most likely due to the fact that Z-one travelled back in time and interfered with the timeline thus leading Yusei to create Shooting Quasar Dragon and not Cosmic Blazar Dragon.

So what do you think Cosmic Blazar Dragons effect will be if its printed.

Also is Konami just trolling us?

Interesting Hero Support

Today I felt like going over some new cards which can be used to support heroes in the event that the banlist destroys the deck. Some of these are quite random but can be used quite effectively depending on the situation.

Now lets get started with a look at a card that was just released in Abyss Rising:

Bull Blader

BullBlader-ABYR-JP-R.jpg

During either player's turn when an attack is declared involving this card and an opponent's monster: Neither player takes Battle Damage from this battle, and after damage calculation, destroy the monster this card was battling.

As you can see this card while weak in attack for a level 4 has the ability to destroy almost every single monster in the game. While you will take damage this card is an excellent counter to Verz Opheon, Gravekeeper Spy, and any random monster that is you just can't handle with your regular heroes.

Other things that make this card powerful are that its a warrior so it can be searched by Reinforcement of the Army and that its level 4 so you can exceed with it if necessary.

For additional trolling equip this card with Safe Zone and let it sit just slowly ram its way through all of your opponents monsters.

For our second card of the day we have a new TCG exclusive

Noble Knight Gawayn

NobleKnightGawayn-REDU-EN-OP.png

If you control a light normal monster you can special summon this card (from your hand) in face up defense position.

More exceed spamming with alius and this lol.

Plus its a 1900 attack light warrior not too shabby in my opinion.

The art isn't that bad looking either.

Speaking of art whats with all the awesome art coming out lately in yugioh I mean we have Ancient Dragon, Prophecy Destroyer, and now we get this guy.

Ancestor Beat Variations

Ancestor Beat or just straight up hero beat has evolved enormously over the years due to the release of new cards, the change in meta, and just good old fashioned invention from players.

There are now many variations of Ancestor Beat lets take a look at my version of the deck list that relies on Card Car D.

Monsters: 12
3 Card Car D
3 Alius
3 Effect Veiler
1 Photon Trasher
1 Bubbleman
1 Stratos

Spells:22
3 E Emergency Call
3 Pot of Duality
3 Gemini Spark
3 Miracle Fusion
3 Super Polymerization
2 Cyclone
1 Book of Moon
1 Dark Hole
1 Monster Reborn
1 Heavy Storm
1 Reinforcement of the Army

Traps: 7
2 Hero Blast
2 Torrential Tribute
2 Solemn Warning
1 Solemn Judgment

As you can see this version of the deck relies on Card Car D to gain advantage and speed up the deck also more importantly to draw the all important Veiler needed to stop your opponents Inzektors, Rescue Wabbit, Wind-ups etc. The Card Car D also helps cover the loss which Super Polymerization will take.

This version might not be so practical to any TCG players as you don't have Escuriado yet however over here in OCG the ability to remove any monster (except Fossil Dyna, Kristya, Vanity's Fiend, or Verz Opheon  (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻) in an instant with your opponent being unable to stop it is incredibly powerful. It stops Naturia Beast and Shien Locks, Quasar, Laval Stannon, and perhaps most importantly in Singapore serves as an excellent counter to opposing hero beats (which there are far too many of in Singaporeヽ(≧Д≦)ノ ).

However lets look at another version of hero beat. This version is a bit more combo based and closer to the Arrive Hero decks than the others however it doesn't go all the way. This would be called bubble beat in the states I believe.

Monsters: 10
3 Alius
2 Bubbleman
1 Photon Thrasher
1 Zephyros
1 Stratos
2 Effect Veiler

Spells: 21
3 E Emergency Call
3 Pot of Duality
3 Miracle Fusion
3 Gemini Spark
2 Night Beam
1 Future Fusion
1 Reinforcement of the Army
1 Heavy Storm
1 Dark Hole
1 Monster Reborn
1 Super Polymerization
1 Book of Moon

Traps: 10
2 Phoenix Wing Wind Blast
2 Hero Blast
2 Torrential Tribute
2 Solemn Warning
1 Solemn Judgment
1 Starlight Road

This is not like other TCG Bubblebeats I believe but it does open up the possibility to spam a field full of monsters none the less while still maintaining control elements. This version plays less super polymerization as there is no Card Car D to make up for the cost. In exchange though this deck has much easier access to some exceeds such as Shock Master and Verz Ouroboros.

This deck runs Phoenix Wing Wind Blast as sometimes we might need to discard an extra card to spam the field with Bubbleman. This can also open up interesting plays as well such as discarding a card to make sure you have 0 cards in hand and on field to summon Bubbleman and draw 2.

Now lets look at another version of Hero Beat this one more similar to previous formats.

Monsters: 11
3 Alius
3 Effect Veiler
2 Thunder King Rai-Oh
1 Gorz the Emissary of Darkness
1 Honest
1 Stratos

Spells: 18
3 E Emergency Call
3 Pot of Duality
3 Gemini Spark
2 Miracle Fusion
2 Forbidden Lance
1 Forbidden Chalice
1 Super Polymerization
1 Reinforcement of the Army
1 Monster Reborn
1 Dark Hole
1 Book of Moon
1 Heavy Storm

Traps: 11
2 Solemn Warning
2 Torrential Tribute
2 Hero Blast
1 Solemn Judgment
1 Starlight Road
1 Dimensional Prison

This deck is more of an old school era deck that I feel works quite well in todays format. With all the Chaos Dragons running around now Rai-Oh gains relevancy once again and there are not that many Inzektors in Singapore anyway.

However we cannot discount Inzektors still even though there are less of them so we maindeck the one Forbidden Chalice as tech. We play Lance over Cyclone because it is more versatile in battle situations since this deck has trouble running over some of the larger boss monsters.

Two Miracle Fusion only which is quite surprising but drawing Miracle Fusion without any Heroes is terrible and this deck doesn't get Heroes at all sometimes. Instead we run stuff like Dimensional Prison for the Hero mirror and Chaos Dragon matchup. Honest is an old favorite that will work well in a format full of dragons and heroes.

Our last variation of Ancestor Beat is a TCG version of the deck that I would use in the OCG.

Monsters:11
3 Alius
2 Beast King Barbaros
2 Thunder King Rai-Oh
2 Effect Veiler
1 Crusader of Endymion
1 Stratos

Spells:18
3 Gemini Spark
3 Pot of Duality
2 Miracle Fusion
2 Forbidden Lance
2 E Emergency Call
1 Reinforcement of the Army
1 Super Polymerization
1 Book of Moon
1 Monster Reborn
1 Dark Hole
1 Heavy Storm

Traps:12
2 Skill Drain
2 Torrential Tribute
2 Solemn Warning
2 Compulsory Evacuation Device
1 Dimensional Prison
1 Hero Blast
1 Solemn Judgment
1 Starlight Road

This is a TCG version of Skill Drain Hero Beat built for the OCG. Barbaros is a force to be reckoned with if your opponent can't stop him smashing the opponent with 3k when backed up with Skill Drain. Skill Drain is one of the strongest cards in the format since it kills almost every deck Inzektors, Chaos Dragon, Heroes, Hieratics many of these decks lose to one Skill Drain backed up with Barbaros. This deck doesn't special summon much either seeing as there are only 2 Miracle Fusion and only 1 copy of Super Polymerization so its good for budget players who might not have the money for all the expensive Exceeds.

Lance over Cyclone once again because its more useful in this deck and only one Hero Blast since the deck Can't get Alius as easily once again. Nothing special here but I like the deck and its fun to watch people unable to do anything and slowly kill them by beating them with one Barbaros or Alius.

So what do you think is your favorite version of Ancestor Beat?

Whatever it is enjoy playing Heroes since this format is one in which they truly shine in.

Banlist sept 2012 prediction

Banned:
Mind Control
Future Fusion
Brionac

Limited:
Inzektor Dragonfly
A Hero Arrives
Ultimate Offering
Red Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon

Semi-Limited:
Rescue Rabbit

This is no means a list made for the sake of the game but a prediction of what konami will do. Some things that should be affected by the banlist in my opinion like wind-ups are not here but there are a number of reasons behind this.

Banned:

The Banned list is quite obvious with the release of Mind Pollution in Abyss Rising I believe Konami was making a inferior replacement for Mind Control when they finally ban it.

Future Fusion is there to hit the obvious Chaos Dragons and Hero shenanigans, because we all know how bullshit they are.

Brionac is still one of the most overused synchros these days and makes infinite loops all day every day.

Limited:

The limited list has Inzektor Dragonfly to hit inzektors of course. Even if it isn't dragonfly that is hit however something from inzektors should be hit because they have already been around for quite a long time.

A Hero Arrives is there also to stop all the bullshit Arrive decks. They might hit this due to the fact that Arrive Hero won the Japanese WCQ and personally if they hit Arrive Hero and leave normal Hero I still wouldn't mind as standard Hero Beat is still quite Balanced.

Ultimate Offering is there to hit the offering Machina Gadget for the simple reason that this deck doesn't make money for Konami. Mostly everyone has the exceeds necessary to make this deck and obtaining a playset of Machina and Gadgets is even easier. Thus Konami might hit this deck so that people will buy their newer products.

Red Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon the boss of the dragon decks this thing opens up otk after otk. The main reason that this is on the list is because of that however another reason why this could be on the list is because the structure deck was released December of last year. With this much time since the release of the deck there could be a chance that this deck will get hit.

Semi-Limited:

Rescue Rabbit is the only card on the limited list because Rabbit does need to be hit. However It isn't limited for the sole reason that they still need to sell Photon Shockwave.

Now why are a lot of things not on this list such as windups and tourguide?

Simple because of Extra Pack 5 coming out soon. If tourguide and wind ups were hit sales of Extra Pack 5 will lower because those are obviously the most hyped cards of Extra Pack 5.

By this point I feel that Konami will never unlimit Destiny Draw no matter how much we want it. However with the strength of current Rank 6 exceeds I feel that it might not be a good idea too anyway.

Thanks for reading this wall of text.

Gaining interest in MTG for some reason ....

My friend at school gave me a sudden interest in magic.....

The game is fun however what I don't like is that there's rotation and how expensive the game is.
Despite that though the game is entertaining and I feel more skill in that game right now instead of yugioh (though that may be because the format is trash right now).

I'm thinking about making some kind of blue deck that revolves around tarland the sky summoner right now and using augur of bolas to get an instant or sorcery from my deck.

Any ideas on how to make a deck?

I might have to change the title of the blog at this rate.

Tourney Report 14/07/12

Since I never post anything here, I might as well post something

Deck Used: Solitare
Format: 4 Round Swiss, cut to Top 8

1st round: Arrive Hero OO
Obliverated him 2 games in a row. Hmmm. Yummy.

2nd round: TGAA XX
Couldn't draw enough and died to OTK after resting for 1 day and him End Phase MST too strong.
2nd game was the same w/o the End Phase MST.

3rd round: Hero Beat XOX
1st game: Died to Shock Ruler. No Spells to rule em all.
2nd game: I was dropped to 200 lifepoints, but Tragoedia stalled enough for me to have a Straight hand.
3rd game: Total Trash hand of 3 Consonance no White Stone. (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

4th round: Dark World OXX
1st game: He discarded my leg but I took it back.
2nd game: He Prohibition my One Day of Peace. I had 2 copies in my hand.
(╯ಠ益ಠ)╯))))))))))┻━┻

Result: Scrubbed like a sir.

Suicide Bomber decks are seriously Suicide Bomber decks.

Anyway, Konami made a searchable Water Armed Dragon Delinquint Duo which is super beatstick-ish.

15-7-2012 tourney report

So I really haven't been too interested in this game lately until I got some new hero bullshit stunts from Bahamut. Feeling inspired to play again (aka spam monsters) I entered todays tourney with low expectations of winning lol.

Deck Played: Arrive Black Hero

Round 1 vs Calvin (Arrive Black Hero)

game 1: Shock ruler is godlike as always lol.

game 2: I ate an otk from him on his second turn after he cleared some backrow of mine.

game 3: Shock ruler wins everything ....

Current Record 1-0

Round 2 vs Dark World (whose name I cannot remember)

Game 1: Skill drain ruins my life when Im playing a deck that relies on monster effects.

Game 2: Skill drain <_< I hate that card so much now.

Current Record 1-1

Round 3 vs Kenneth Plant (Laval) Paired up lol

Game 1: A shitty hand from plant leads to a quick otk from me with everything.

Game 2: he opened quite bad but he recovered with Maxx C and Rekindling

Game 3: Shock Master does his job as usual .....

Current Record: 2-1

Round 4 vs Bao Chun (Arrive Dark Hero)

Game 1: Opened subpar and ate an otk lol.

Game 2: Incorrect side deck let me fail at comboing and cost me the game.

Current Record :2-2

Round 5 vs Rong Jie

He let me win because he wanted to help push me into top 8 if possible

Current Record: 3-2

Final Result: 12th place

I had a lot of fun playing this deck even though the mirror match sucks ass. Yugioh is getting a bit stale in this format so I'll just keep playing this deck for a while.

I'll make a post about some of the cool stuff from Abyss Rising soon if I have time. School is making my life very busy. ;_;

I'm surprised at the possible addition of the tcg exclusive from the six sam structure deck since its so recent but better for six samurai players i suppose.
